La VanGuardia Inquiry: Local News #3

https://www.lavanguardia.com/economia/20200418/48587504218/barcelona-turismo-coronavirus-hoteleros.html

This Catalan news inquiry discusses how Barcelona’s summer tourism will hault until September and will not be back into full swing for at least a year. With the COVID-19 outbreak and long period of quarentine, Barcelona got hit extremely hard. This beloved city of myself and so many others took a major hit to its economy. Catalan citizens and many tourists got affected by the virus, inlcuding myself. I contracted the virus and had to get sent home from my study abroad experience. My mother was even suppose to visit me in Barcelona in April, but unfortunately due to these circumstances I do not know when I will be returning to Barcelona as well as many others. I hope Barcelona’s tourism is able to recover and with time their economy will regenerate as well as the health of its citizens and residents.
