This will be my last blog post during my semester abroad in Barcelona. It truly has been one I will never be able to forget. I cannot not quite put into words how this experience has positively impacted my life. Enjoy this last farewell letter I have written to my beloved city that stole my heart forever.
Dear Barcelona,
Where do I even start?
As you may already know by now, my study abroad experience was cut short this semester. My heart aches as it was broken in half over the span of 48 hours as I had to leave a part of it behind in Barcelona.
My study abroad experience in Barcelona has been nothing short of a dream. Not only did I get to experience the beautiful culture, people, and way of life, but also I got to travel to some of the most breathtaking places in Europe I’ve ever seen with some of my new best friends. I cannot put into words my deep appreciation for this experience of a lifetime and love for the city that stole my heart forever. Barcelona we shared smiles, laughs, tears, love, and just about every emotion a human being is capable of feeling. I will never be the same after getting to know you.
And lastly, thank you to everyone who supported me on this insane journey. My amazing program IES, my beautiful friends, and most importantly my loving parents, who have given me more than a daughter could ever ask for. My gratitude and appreciation is immeasurable.
I promise I will return to my second home someday — iViva Barcelona! ❤️
